Liverpool Win and Both Teams to Score (BTTS) vs Leipzig
Liverpool travel to Hungary to face RB Leipzig in the knock out round of the Champions League. The game couldn't be played in Germany because on the restrictions on travel into Germany from areas affected by the coronaviurs mutation. The tie will be played in the Puskas Arena with the return leg scheduled for 10th March.
Liverpool have major defensive issues this season. Although Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez have been included in the Champions League squad it's unlikely will have any chance of featuring this season. Joel Matip is also out for the season, which leaves new signing Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak along with Nat Pillip to feature. Given the Reds defensive problems you would have be an optimist to back Liverpool to get a clean sheet at 11/4 with bet365!
Before Christmas most pundits would have confidently predicted an a fairly swift Liverpool win in this tie. Since then Liverpool have won just three matches and lost an unthinkable six of those matches! Leipzig have fared better with six wins in nine games.
The bookies have Liverpool as favourites in 90 mins with Bet Victor offering 2/1 on the RB Leipzig win, 13/5 with bet365 on the draw and 6/5 with Betfred on the Liverpool win! Liverpool are as you can imagine considered strong favourites to qualify for the quarter final of the Champions League; 2/5 for Liverpool to qualify with bet365 and 9/4 with Bet Victor for RB Leipzig to qualify.
Leipzig have fared well against English opposition; knocking out Manchester Utd in the group stages this year and dumping Tottenham out 4-0 on aggregate last year. Remember Leipzig did get to the semi-final stage last year too. You can get as big as 40/1 with Betfred on Leipzig to win the Champions League.
Leipzig are no slouches, but given the neutral venue and the unpredictability of Liverpool, it makes it a difficult game to call. It's also the first ever competitive game between the two sides.
So what bet do you place on the match? Well Liverpool have a good record against German opposition (Liverpool are unbeaten in their last five away to German opposition), and perhaps the distraction from the league will help Klopp's men. I don't see it being a straightforward win for Liverpool, perhaps a 2-1 (8/1 with bet365) or 3-2 (21/1 with Bet Victor), but I'd backing Liverpool to win and both teams to score at 11/4 with Betfred!

Barcelona PSG to end in a Score Draw
On paper this looks the classic Champions League match, worthy of a later stage of the competition perhaps! PSG travel to the Nou Camp to face Barcelona!
The last time Barcelona played in the Champions League knock out matches, it was devastating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich. PSG narrowly missed out on winning the Champions League and will want to go all the way this time - PSG are 12/1 with bet365 to win the Champions League.
Barcelona have a fairly lengthy injury list with Philippe Coutinho, Ansu Fati, Sergi Roberto, Gerard Pique, Ronald Araujo, and Martin Braithwaite all unlikely to feature due to injury. For PSG unfortunately former Barcelona man will not make the game due to injury.
An intriguing tie pitting Mauricio Pochettino against Ronald Koeman, just a shame we won't see a full Nou Camp to give the game the spectacle it deserves. Give the last game between the two sides involved the controversial 6-1 Barcelona win in March 2017 when the Spanish side overturned a 5-0 deficit from the home league. Fancy a repeat, you can get Barca to win 6-1 at 175/1 with Bet Victor!
Barcelona are in decent form in the league with seven consecutive victories (every league game this year), but some patchy form in the cup competitions. Unsurprisingly Lionel Messi has scored eight goals in that run and has got the best out of his teammates.
French teammates Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe will likely feature for respective sides, and could be a good pick for first goalscorers. You can get Mbappe at 5/1 with Paddy Power, and Griezmann at 5/1 with Betfred!
The last nine meetings between the sides has seen Barcelona win four, PSG win two and three draws. Given the talent on show we're bound to get goals, but there's not much between the sides. I'm going for a score draw between Barcelona and PSG, best odds 10/3 with Betfred!
