Accumulator bets are a terrific way to bet on numerous Cheltenham Festival 2025 races whilst not breaking the bank. And of course, the winnings can be significant if most or all of the selections win.
In this special preview, we will guide you through the various accumulator or acca options and point you in the right direction for the best acca bonuses through our partners firms Bet365, William Hill, Betfred, Bet Victor and Boylesports.
We will also recommend some Cheltenham acca tips from this year’s Cheltenham Festival!
What type of acca bet can I do?
Yankee
This is one of the most popular acca bets and ideal if you select one or more very short priced selections.
The Yankee bet is comprised of 11 bets covering four selections. This includes one bet to cover all four winning, four trebles and six doubles: 11 in total. You therefore need two winners to guarantee any kind of return. You can also have more selections: there are acca bets which cover five, six and even eight selections but obviously these are more expensive.
The bet amount is based on a unit stake. So, if you elect to do a £1 unit stake Yankee, this will cost you £11 in total.
Lucky 15
However, if you choose a big priced selection, you may wish to choose the Lucky 15 option. This is essentially the same bet as a Yankee but with the extra four single bet options, which means you collect something if only one winner obliges.
Some firms offer extra consolation in the form of double the odds if only one winner comes in. Again, more selections can be added making the bet a Lucky 31, 63 etc. The bet amount is based on a unit stake, so a £1 unit stake Lucky 15 will cost £15.
With both of these bets, if you land all four selections you win all the 15 bets making the total amount quite lucrative.
Yankee and Lucky 15 bonuses
Betfred offer 10% bonus on 100% successful Lucky 15s and Yankees.
William Hill also offer 10% bonus on 100% successful Lucky 15s and Yankee as well as offering double odds on one winner for Lucky 15s.
The Banker Acca
Check out our Best Banker Bets For Cheltenham Festival 2025 preview which gives more details of our recommendations for best bankers of the meeting to make a four leg Yankee accumulator.
Selections as follows:
Leg 1: KOPEK DES BOURDES, THE SUPREME NOVICES HURDLE, TUESDAY MARCH 11TH
Leg 2: MAJBOROUGH, THE ARKLE, TUESDAY MARCH 11TH
Leg 3: CONSTITUTION HILL, THE CHAMPION HURDLE, TUESDAY MARCH 11TH
Leg 4: GALOPIN DES CHAMPS, THE CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP, FRIDAY 14TH MARCH
The Each Way Acca
Each way is also possible for the Yankee and Lucky 15 options. However, in this scenario you are effectively placing two accas in one bet: one for the place acca and one for the win acca.
For example, if one of your selections wins on the Yankee option, and three are placed, you would only receive the winnings for the place accas as more than one winner is needed for the bet to pay on the win side.
We have chosen some decent priced selections with realistic chances of being placed. We recommend Bet365 for this bet as their current prices are competitive.
Our selections for this bet are as follows:
Leg 1: BURDETT ROAD, THE CHAMPION HURDLE, TUESDAY MARCH 11TH
Burdett Road clearly has to make some progress to be in the same league as Constitution Hill and State Man. However, the horse won the Greatwood over course and distance and will be there or thereabouts at a big price. 33/1 with Bet365.
Leg 2: IL EST FRANCAIS, THE CHAMPION CHASE, WEDNESDAY MARCH 12TH
Very talented French bred horse who will take some pegging back if allowed to dictate matters as he did in The King George VI Chase at Kempton. 5/1 with Bet365.
Leg 3: WIN SOME LOSE SOME, THE PERTEMPS NETWORK FINAL, THURSDAY MARCH 13TH
This Gordon Elliott trained horse fits the profile that previous winners of this race have held, having participated in the Leopardstown qualifier: six of the previous winners came through from this race. 8/1 with Bet365.
Leg 4: L’HOMME PRESSE, THE CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP, FRIDAY MARCH 14TH
This Venetia Williams trained stayer ran a blinder to win The Cotswold Chase, beating a revitalised Stage Star narrowly. His last run, pulling up in The Betfair Ascot Chase can be ignored as the race was unsuitable.
This greater test of stamina is far more to his liking and could make the frame at a big price. 33/1 with Bet365
