If this was the Manchester United of Ferguson, you would see a preview that would confidently state that United would easily overturn a 2-1 deficit and cruise comfortably into the final of the League Cup.
But this isn't Ferguson's United, it is Moyes' team. And they haven't looked too convincing this season. Who knows what could happen?
United to win... barely
United are heavy favourites for this one, as you'd expect (or would you)? At 4/11 with Unibet, they're way out in front, while Sunderland are a massive 19/2 with BetVictor to win at Old Trafford. The draw is 17/4 with Bet365.
We quite like the look of the United win by one goal at 29/10 with Ladbrokes. A 1-0 win would be enough to send United through to the final, whereas a 2-1 win would see the game o to extra-time and possibly penalties.
Wel-back in this tie
Danny Welbeck looks a nice bet for First Goalscorer. The United forward is 4/1 with Paddy Power to open the scoring on Wednesday night, and with David Moyes seeming to overlook Javier Hernandez at the minute, Welbeck should lead the line.
That said, if the Mexican comes on he is a very good bet to score. He is 21/10 with Bet365 to grab a goal if he comes on (or even starts!) so get it while the value is good.
Reds seeing red again?
United's lack of discipline has been a factor in recent weeks, and if things aren't going well tempers could flare again. That's without taking into account Sunderland's red card problems. A sending off in the match is 4/1 with Unibet, which are very decent odds indeed.
