Chelsea to edge early season title clash!
The biggest Premier League game of the season so far with Chelsea welcoming current champions, Manchester City. Chelsea are unbeaten and will see this as a good opportunity to put a 6 point gap between the two sides.
The bookies are best with, William Hill offering 17/10 for Chelsea to win the match, 7/4 with bet365 for Man City to win, and 9/4 with Betfred for the draw! Man City have won 2 out of the last 7 games between the sides, Chelsea with 4 wins, and one draw.
Chelsea have won the last three meetings between the two sides which incidentally coincides with Thomas Tuchel's reign as Chelsea manager ;). Each of those matches has been by a one goal margin and I think that's a fair likely outcome again, you can 3/1 with bet365 on a Chelsea to win by 1 goal margin!
Chelsea look particuarly rock solid at the back and with one goal conceaded in the league this season, a bet on Chelsea to keep a clean sheet looks tempting, best with bet365 at 9/4. 15 clean sheets in 24 leagues for Chelsea speaks for itself!
Predicting what team Pep Guardiola select is like picking a roulette number, so it's difficult to have a bet on anytime goalscorer or first goalscorer, but Kevin De Bruyne stands out at 4/1 to score anytime with William Hill. KDB is back and always one for taking on a shot, free kick of penalty so could looks the pick of the city betting.
Manchester City are notorious slow starters in the Premier League, and given Chelsea strength at the moment I'm going for the Chelsea win. Tempted by the 3/1 with bet365 on the Chelsea one goal margin win, but will select Chelsea to win the match at 17/10 with William Hill!
1st Bet:
Chelsea vs Manchester City: Chelsea win @ 17/10 with William Hill!
Liverpool to win and both teams to score (BTTS) against Brentford!
The Saturday dinner time game is Brentford vs Liverpool! This will be a test to see how good Brentford really are in the Premier League. Brentford have amassed a very credible 8 points so far and only one defeat.
If Chelsea fail to beat Manchester City in the early game, a win against Brentford (1/2 with Betfred) could propel Liverpool to the top of the Premier League. You can still get 7/2 on Liverpool to win the league with bet365!
Brentford have a fully fit squad with inform duo Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo expected to lead the attacking threat! Fancy Toney or Mbeumo to add to their goal tally!? Mbeumo is 4/1 to score anytime and Toney is 9/4 to score anytime both with Betfred!
You can't read too much into the head to head between the two sides as they haven't met since March 1989 and first encounter in the league since 1947! With Liverpool on a 15 match unbeaten run in the league you would have to be an optimist to be backing Brentford at 6/1 with bet365!
Mohammed Salah is on 99 Premier League goals and looks a sure fight bet to 100 goals and become the 13th Premier League player with a century of league goals! You can get 11/10 with William Hill for Salah to score anytime!
I'm anticipating Brentford will give Liverpool a scare, but ultimately the Reds will come through with a win! I'm going for Liverpool to win against Brentford and both teams to score, best odds with bet365 at 9/4!
2nd Bet:
Brentford vs Liverpool: Liverpool to win and both teams to score @ 9/4 with bet365!
Arsenal to come out on top in the North London derby!
Arsenal face Spurs in the first north London derby of the season, in the main Sunday afternoon late kick off. Spurs are winless in four games, after five straight wins at the start of the season in all competitions. Arsenal on the back of three wins without conceading a goal.
North London derby games tend to be tight affairs, draws and wins by the odd goal! You can get 10/3 on the draw with bet365, 15/2 with bet365 on an Arsenal 1-0 win, or 10/1 on Spurs winning 1-0 also with bet365! You get the feeling both managers would take a draw and move on!
There has been some debate about whether Arteta will go with Leno or Ramsdale for the game. Ramsdale hasn't let a goal in for Arsenal yet and you has been urged to keep faith with the young English goalkeeper! You can get 17/10 with William Hill on Arsenal keeping a clean sheet again!
Harry Kane hasn't exactly hit top form this season (4 shots and no goals in the league so far!), but does like a goal against Arsenal and at 7/5 with William Hill to score anytime may entice a few bets! Arsenal main hitman also needs goals and you get 13/8 with Betfred on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring anytime!
Nuno Espírito Santo is a cautious coach and his sides rarely score in the 1st half so a flutter on Spurs to win the second half at 9/4 with bet365 stands out! Or you can get 23/20 with William Hill for Spurs to win either half!
Both teams have been hugely inconsistent at the start of the season, but Arsenal seem to be getting players back from injury and suspension and with the home support, and the creativity of Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, I'm going to go for Arsenal to edge past their local rivals, best odds with 13/10 with Betfred!
3rd Bet:
Arsenal vs Spurs: Arsenal win the match @ 13/10 with Betfred!
