Player To Watch:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang –Aubameyang was one of the few highlights in a disappointing season for Arsenal last term. The Gabon striker has 32 goals in 49 Premier League appearances. If Aubameyang can match or improve his scoring rate there's a good chance Arsenal challenge the top 4 and beyond.

Player To Watch:

Jack Grealish – Jack Grealish has unquestionably been the start performer for Villa over the last few season. Grealish dictates to the play and is the creative spark in Villa midfield. This represents a big chance for Grealish, who with a strong season in the Premier League could well have a shot at pushing for the England squad come Euro 2020.

Player To Watch:

David Brooks – Brooks had a sensational start to his Bournemouth career last season, but can the young Welsh winger push on this season!? 7 goals for Bournemouth in 30 appearances last season in all competitions, and I think there's a strong possibility this growing talent will only improve this season. If Brooks can stay fit he'll play a big part in Bournemouth's season.

Player To Watch:

Pascal Groß Groß had a terrific first season with Brighton in the Premier League managing 7 goals and 8 assists. Unfortunately last season was less successful, but with a new manager in charge (and presumably a more attacking approach) could the German midfielder improve on his tally with Brighton this season?

Player To Watch:

Jay Rodriquez – Burnley signed Jay Rodriquez this summer hoping the Burnley born striker can rekindle the form he showed to earn a move away from Turf Moor back in 2012. Rodriquez has 31 goals in 105 games for Burnley. With a good run and service you can see Rodriquez scoring plenty this season and could well be Burnley's key man this season.

31st August 2019 (3pm): Chelsea vs Sheffield United

14th September 2019 (3pm): Wolves vs Chelsea

Player To Watch:

Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Loftus-Cheek should get more first team action at Chelsea this season now that Eden Hazard has departed. The young English international had a reasonable season last season with 10 goals (6 in the Premier League) and key contributions throughout the campaign. Lampard is likely to give young talent a chance and I think Loftus-Cheek will benefit greatly. This could be his breakthrough season!

14th September 2019 (3pm): Tottenham vs Crystal Palace

Player To Watch:

Andros Townsend – Andros Townsend is likely to be the main man at Selhurst Park if Wilfred Zaha does make a move to Arsenal. Townsend scored 6 goals and created 4 goals last season, in a very low scoring season for Palace all about keeping the opposition out. If Townsend can push forward in Zaha's absence then he is likely to improve on the goals and assists tally recorded in the 2018/19 season.

15th September 2019 (2pm): Bounemouth vs Everton

Player To Watch:

Richarlison – Richarlison had a reasonable start to his Everton career last season with 13 Premier League goals having moved from Watford for £40m. Richarlison had a good Copa America, helping Brazil to lift the trophy. Richarlison has tended to start seasons strongly and then tail off. I think this season could be the one where the Brazilian cements his place as a Premier League start!

14th September 2019 (3pm): Manchester Unite vs Leicester City

Player To Watch:

James Maddison - James Maddison had a solid start to his Leicester City career with 7 goals and 7 assists. I like the look of this Leicester City squad and with Brendan Rogers in charge it's highly likely that Maddison will have plenty of opportunity to provide meaningful contributions to goals this season. A good 2019/20 season could be the perfect spark to get James Maddison in the England squad for Euro 2020.

Player To Watch:

Sadio Mane – The whole Liverpool team were outstanding last season and it's difficult to pick out a star men, but Sadio Mane is a really key player for Liverpool. Testament to this was the efforts Real Madrid made to lure away the Senegal forward. Mane doesn't score goals and make goals, but also an unparalleled work rate which creates sets up attacks. Sadio Mane will star again this season, expect more goals and more assists!

Player To Watch:

Raheem Sterling - Sterling managed to bag 17 goals in 34 Premier League games in the 2018/19 season. Sterling will get better and better under Guardiola and this season is likely to see Sterling in move advanced positions meaning more goals and assists. At the end of last season Sterling became the go to player for Manchester City when City needed a spark of inspiration. Sterling should get 20+ goals in the Premier League this season!

Player To Watch:

Marcus Rashford - Marcus Rashford had his best goals return last season with 10 Premier League goals in 33 games. At 21 years old now is the time that the football community will be expecting more goals and consistently top level performances. Rashford showed glimpses of his potential, but if he is to truly justify a place among the elite world strikers he needs more goals and game changing performances. If Rashford gets the right service i'm sure the goals will come!

Player To Watch:

Miguel Almiron – Newcastle will be expecting more substantive results from their Paraguayan forward this season after an average start to his Tyneside career in the 2018/19 season. Almiron will benefit from a full pre-season which will make a difference. The fear I have is that if Newcastle don't sign any players Almiron may not be enough to for Newcastle to maintain their place within the Premier League.

Player To Watch:

Teemu Pukki – Teemu Pukki bagged himself 29 goals last season and was very much Norwich City's main man as they claimed top spot in the Championship. The Finnish striker has pedigree having been on the books of Schalke and Sevilla, but this Premier League campaign will be a great chance to shine. He doesn't rely on blistering pace, but always seems to be in the right position. If Pukki gets service i'm sure he'll score plenty of goals in the Premier League!

Player To Watch:

Billy Sharp - Sheffield born Billy Sharp gets a chance to lead his beloved Sheffield United into the Premier League, but can 33 year old Sharp bag enough goals to keep the Blades up? Sharp has scored goals wherever he has played, but the Premier League is a different animal. If Sharp can get close to his 23 goals scored last season Sheffield United might just have a chance of staying up!

31st August 2019 (12:30pm): Southampton vs Manchester United

14th September 2019 (3pm): Sheffield United vs Southampton

Player To Watch:

Danny Ings - Southampton concluded the signing of Danny Ings from Liverpool over the summer for £20m, after a solid loan spell. Ings scored just over 1 in 3 games and will be hoping to better that scoring rate this season. Southampton rallied after a poor start to last season and I would anticipate Danny Ings will benefit from a much more optimistic and attacking emphasis from the Saints!

14th September 2019 (3pm): Tottenham vs Crystal Palace

Player To Watch:

Harry Kane - Harry Kane is the key man for Tottneham going into most seasons of late. Having only scored 17 Premier League goals in the 2018/19 season you can bet that Kane will want to make sure he significantly improves on that total. Kane is the current favourite to be the Premier League top goalscorer with Bet Victor at 9/2! Very skinny odds, however so long as Kane stays fit it's likely the Spurs ace will be in and around the top goalscorers come May 2020.

Player To Watch:

Gerard Deulofeu - Deulofeu has outstanding technical ability which explains why Barcelona had him on their books. 10 Premier League goals last season and numerous key game changing appearances provided an insight into the potential talent of this 25 year old. If Watford can build up that start they may have unearthed a very exciting prospect. I'd back Deulofeu to play an even bigger part this year!

Player To Watch:

Felipe Anderson - Felipe Anderson was West Ham's star performer of the 2018/19 with an impressive 9 Premier League goals. Anderson made a big impression throughout the season creating chances, linking the play and scoring some beautiful goals. If Anderson can improve beyond this level West Ham may have the bigger clubs around Europe knocking on the door for the Brazilians services.

Player To Watch:

Raul Jimenez - Jimenez is now signed up as an official Wolves player having been on loan from Benfica last season. Raul Jimenez is an out and out goalscorer and will expect to push on towards 20 Premier League goals this season. Strong on either foot, good with his head and a poacher in the box, the Mexican striker has a little of everything to make him a very dangerous opponent. If Jimenez excels Wolves might well better last seasons fine display!
