Weekend (17th August 2019) Premier League Best Bets

Match day two in the Premier League 2019-20 season see's some big match ups, with the biggest game of the weekend the Saturday evening match between Manchester City and Spurs. It's still early in the season and if you're wondering what bets you should be placing, don't worry we've got four Premier League bets you should be on this weekend!

Manchester City to dominate Spurs at the Etihad!

Manchester City play Spurs on Saturday evening in an early crucial table topping clash. Both teams made strong winning stars on the first day of the season. Manchester City cruised to an easy away victory against West Ham United, and could have even more than the five they got. Tottenham rallied late on and managed to defeat a very plucky Aston Villa side 3-1

Spurs might have beaten Man City over two legs in the Champions League Semi-Final last season, but it was a arguably lucky victory and masks poor form against the big Premier League hitters. Spurs only won twice against the top five Premier League teams last season. Against Manchester City, Spurs are 13-6 down on aggregate in their last six meetings.

Can Spurs score against City on Saturday? Yes. Can they beat City at the Etihad? Definately not. City will win and win handsomely. There's no point backing Manchester City in the match odds market at 4/11 (Betfair), as the odds don't offer a great risk return form, instead take the 9/5 offered by Betfair and back Manchester City to win and both teams to score.

1st Bet:

Manchester City to Win and Both Teams to Score @ 9/5 with Betfair

Aubameyang to Score against Burnley!

Arsenal play Burnley in the Saturday lunchtime kick off. Arsenal had a decent start and managed to grind out a gritty 1-0 win against a rather tame Newcastle side. Burnley thumped Southampton at Turf Moor and will go into this one in high spirits.

It's difficult to back Arsenal at 1/3 (Bet Victor) even though I think it will happen quite comfortably. Arsenal have won nine out ten of their last encounters against Burnley and with 16 goals in the respective home games, Arsenal will be heavily backed.

Arsenal don't inspire at short odds on, however Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a man bettors are beginning to rely on! Aubameyang had a share in the Golden Boot last season and already has a goal this season. The Gabonese striker has an average of two goals a game against Burnley, out of the three games played against the north west England side. Aubameyang might be odds on at 3/4 (Coral) to score against Burnley, but it's just too tempting to ignore! Get backing Aubameyang!

2nd Bet:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang To Score against Burnley @ 3/4 with Coral

West Ham bounce back with an away Win at Brighton!

Ok so West Ham had a shocking start to the season being crushed 5 nil at home! But it was against the juggernaut that is Manchester City. Not many teams can live with Manchester City and West Ham won't be the last team destroyed by such a dazzling passing display. Brighton meanwhile had a fabulous start with a great 3-0 victory away from home.

Brighton looked decent, however I have a feeling that was more down to a lacklustre Watford side than of a brilliant Brighton performance. The Seagulls will be in the relegation battle this season for sure. The opening day of season results have distorted the odds for this match up. Brighton are considered favs by the bookies, 13/8 with Bet Victor. I don't see that as a good bet at all!

West Ham will be out to prove a point and that's why I see the value in backing the hammers! West Ham have a strong team and are a comfortable top ten side. The hammers are 2/1 with Betfred to beat Brighton, and that is a cracking bet! Best bet for the 3pm Premier League kick off games!

3rd Bet:

Brighton vs West Ham: West Ham to win @ 2/1 with Betfred

Leicester City not to Lose against Chelsea!

Leicester City play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in what is viewed already as an early test for Frank Lampard. A drubbing at Old Trafford and losing out to Liverpool on penalties in the European Super Cup will hurt Lampard. Looking at the Chelsea squad you wonder whether the loss of Hazard could well be critical

In all fairness Chelsea didn't deserve a 4-0 loss to Manchester United last Sunday, but sometimes being lucky is more important than getting what you deserve. Chelsea seem to be feeling sorry for themselves and no more so than Tammy Abraham, who hit the woodwork against United and missed a crucial penalty against Liverpool.

The Foxes had a rather drab 0-0 against Wolves in their first match. No Harry Maguire will take time to get over, but Leicester have a team who will trouble the bigger teams. Maddison, Gray, Barnes, Vardy and the rest pose a dangerous threat. Leicester City just might catch Chelsea at the right time on Sunday. For me the value betting is in betting in favour of Leicester City. I would go for a bet on Leicester City (Draw No Bet) at 29/10 with Unibet!

4th Bet:

Chelsea vs Leicester City: Leicester City (Draw No Bet) @ 29/10 with Unibet!
